Donskoj & Company
A premier provider of master stained glass restoration and new stained glass commissions, Yourij (George) Donskoj began his career with a Medieval Glass Restoration internship at England's Canterbury Cathedral in 1974-75. He served as a conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for more than a decade where he restored the Tiffany Fountain and major panels in the Early Renaissance Collection. He has undertaken major restoration commissions at the Cooper Hewitt, the Morgan Library and Frederick French & Company; served as consultant to the Louvre; and conducted both restorations and consultations for Sotheby's and Christies. Regionally he has completed major restorations for Vassar College and Mohonk Mountain House. In 2004-05 he restored the entry windows at Ulster County's 1789 Court House and re-gilded the orb that tops the building's dome.
