Please Rimember Me!
July
3 - July 31, 2010
For the
month of July, Donskoj & Company Gallery at 93 Broadway in
the Rondout section of
Kingston
will feature the sculptural works of Woodstock artist, Lenny
Kislin. The opening reception is Saturday, July 3 from 5 to
8 pm.
Lenny Kislin has been selling unusual antiques since 1973. In
the course of hunting for new (old) salable material, he
came across many pieces which were not so salable, but
because of their forms, uniqueness or rarity he was
intrigued to the extent that he bought them anyway. These
objects he has saved through the years with the intent of
eventually finding a way to enable others to see what he saw
in them.
In 1991 he began to physically unite these forms into
conceptual art objects that he felt utilized them to their
best advantages. In this exhibition is some of the fruit of
his passion for these heretofore
under-appreciated objects.
Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 1-6pm and by
appointment.
