Regular maintenance and restoration when needed is recommended to keep stained glass windows last for hundreds of years. If preventive maintenance is not performed the windows most likely will need extensive restoration work. Since 1971 Donskoj & Company has taken great care in repairing and restoring stained glass windows. On site visits and photo documentation begins the restoration process. Once an assessment is made a course of action will be determined.. In most cases the windows should be removed for all restoration work. In some cases small repairs can be carried out in situ. Assessments can be made to see if this is feasible. When
a complete restoration is
needed the windows will be removed from the structure in which they were
installed then carefully packed and brought to our studios for repair. After
a condition report is done we could recommend several course of action depending on the
severity of the damage. Some of or all of the following steps will be
required: As each job is different all recommendations and procedures are done on a individual basis.
